ALDI Miniroos Kick-Off Program

Taringa Rovers is excited to be partnering with Football Queensland to offer the National ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off program in 2018.

MiniRoos Kick-Off Term 2 (2018)

The ALDI Miniroos Kick-Off Program is a skills based program for 3-5 year olds. 

It will be offered as an 8 week program for a cost of $100. 

Registration is open to players with birthdates between 1 Jan 2013 & 20 April 2015.

The Term 2 program will run for 8 weeks commencing on Saturday April 21st. 

Sessions run from 8.30-9.30am.

Registered players will receive a complimentary participant pack which includes bag, ball, water bottle and lunch box.


First time players to the club will be required to purchase a full playing kit available from the online uniform shop. 

Returning players are welcome to purchase the new kit or continue to wear items purchased last year. 


What is MiniRoos Kick-Off?

The weekly sessions are the perfect introduction to the world’s most popular game for boys and girls aged between 3 and 5. Children are given a ball and have a ball!

Coaches take the class through a series of football drills in the 60 minute sessions.


Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for children to build fundamental motor skills in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment.

Don’t forget, MiniRoos Kick-Off program is the only national program that is run through Football Federation Australia (FFA).

When is MiniRoos Kick-Off?

Sessions will be held on Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 9.30am on the Main Field in front of the Clubhouse (see the Playing Map).

In Term 2, the first session will be Saturday, 21 April 2018.

For the first time in 2018, Kick-Off players will wear the club’s new Junior playing kit, the same as all U6-U11 players. This means that should a player remain with the club they can wear the same uniform in future years, rather than having a separate uniform just for the Kick-Off program.

The club has provided a discounted playing kit for Kick-Off players containing the TRSFC playing jersey, shorts and socks. Returning players are welcome to purchase the new kit or continue to use items they have purchased in previous years.

Hats are optional and are available to purchase online.

Either football boots or joggers can be worn for the Kick-Off program. 

Information for Parents

Where to watch

Other than to escort a player onto the field prior to the session, no parents, carers, spectators or siblings are to be on the Main Field at any time. Spectators may sit in the Grandstand or on the embankment below the clubhouse.  

Viewing areas are marked in green on the Playing Map.


NO prams, fold up chairs or anything else that may cause damage are allowed on the playing surface of the field AT ANY TIME.


What to bring

For each session please ensure each player has the following:



Football from participant pack (clearly named)

Hats (optional, but encouraged)

Water bottle

Sunscreen applied before taking the field


Wet weather procedure

The status will be updated by 7.30am on Saturday morning. No session will be held if the field is closed.
